National Centre for Immersive Storytelling
The National Film and Television School, in partnership with Royal Holloway, University of London and a host of industry backers, has launched a new centre of excellence for immersive storytelling. The National Centre for Immersive Storytelling: StoryFutures Academy will bring together established storytellers from across the worlds of film, television and games to explore the potential of immersive technologies.
The School through a range of initiatives – such as Workshops, Labs, Short Courses, Placements and Commissioned Productions – will get industry and education working together to explore the creative and commercial possibilities of new immersive technologies that places story at the centre.
We are now advertising for a Head of Immersive to take the work of the Centre forward.
This person will play a key role in leading and enabling the work of the Centre. This is therefore a unique opportunity for someone who is excited about imparting their knowledge to and inspiring film, television and games makers to seize the opportunities presented by Immersive.
This is a fundamental project for the NFTS involving high profile partners. Applicants therefore need to be ambitious with the capability to deliver. Being an excellent communicator, possessing strong interpersonal skills and a passion for learning will be critical to success.
